The Problem
A severely cracked driveway had settled approximately 2 inches near the garage. As the supporting soil beneath the concrete had deteriorated, the slab began breaking and cratering into the resulting void. The slab closest to the garage had a vertical difference of approximately 1.5 inches at its lowest point.
The Work
We lifted and supported the settled driveway slabs, correcting the elevation near the garage and improving the alignment between the slabs.
Before caulking, we power-washed the concrete surfaces and cracks to remove dirt and debris and provide a clean surface for the sealant. The driveway had heavy acorn staining that remained visible in some areas despite cleaning.
The Result
The driveway was lifted and brought back into alignment near the garage, then the cracks were cleaned and sealed. The result was a safer, more uniform driveway with a significantly improved appearance and additional service life without replacing the existing concrete.
